Exhibitor: Material Advantage Chapter at the University of Kentucky

Location: FPAT / Basement Room 71

About the Exhibit

We shall have a few different demos. We aim to have demos of levitating material, pseudo-perpetual motion machine, and bismuth crystals.

Come visit us in the undergraduate Materials Science Lab and see fascinating materials with curious properties! There are three key demos: a levitating magnet, shape memory powered pseudo perpetual motion machine, and shattering racquetballs. Marvel at a magnet floating over a special superconductor substance. Come see a pseudo perpetual motion machine powered by the power of Nickel-Titanium alloy which exhibits a type of shape memory. Witness a rubbery racquetball become brittle and shatter to bits using only cold temperature to change its properties!
