X-Ray Vision: Seeing Inside Objects with X-Rays

Real time demo of X-ray tomography as used in the study of ancient artifacts and engineering materials! Example materials and scans will be shown demonstrating the capability of microCT to scan the complete volume of a material. Everything from ancient scrolls or pottery to modern devices can be tested and studied with this technique. Attendees may bring a suitable item to X-ray at operator's discretion. General guidelines: objects under 5lbs, less than 12" to a side, stable, and dry. No living things.
